ABOUT ABOUT

Frisco, Texas – On Sunday, June 4th, 4pm - 6pm Whatsoever Is Good, Inc. will host “Tell Me I’m Beautiful” a round table discussion for teens in 8th – 12th grade on self-love and beauty standards in America.  Tickets are $10 each and include a free copy of Thirteen by Tamia Thompson.  Each student is entered into a drawing for a $10 Visa Gift Card on the day of the event. Student must be present to win.

There are a number of sterotypes and prejudices teen girls face globally and locally about what it means to be beautiful.  While girls face the pressure of being "beautiful" and of defining beauty for themselves, they also juggle daily issues such as academics, friendships and family dynamics. The purpose of this roundtable is to honor the thoughts and opinions of teen girls and offer guidance toward acceptance of self.

Free Gift with Ticket Purchase

Each participant receives a free autographed copy of Thirteen by 14 year-old author, Tamia Thompson.  Thirteen focuses content on the frail relationship between power, gender, race and culture in America as well as traditional teenage themes.
